Notes 396: Of Old Gramophone & Love
Virginia Woolf once said:
"You cannot find peace by avoiding life."
To you whom I haven't met yet,
Minutes become hours, days become years. And for the past 6 years, after 396 notes, I am still here writing to you, albeit with a significant gap of time unlike in previous years.
On the other side, did you remember when I mentioned to you in my previous notes about the dream of owning an old gramophone? And guess what, I bought an old Melogram gramophone from a good antique dealer somewhere at Campbell Street. I hope one day, you will be able to share the happiness with me.
La Noche Que Me Quieras (The Night that I Want) was the name of the first song that I played on the old gramophone. Now I know, you might be thinking, what on earth the song is all about, right? It is a beautiful classic tango song from Latin America.
You see, for me, life is beautiful, if we choose to believe and have faith in our heart. One day, when you finally appeared in my life, you learn to see the real thing in our life. The real degree of devotion, the amount of courage & the level of grace.
Life is like a tango, it takes two to tango. The man always lead & never let go the hand of his hummingbird.
And for the moment, the old Melogram gramophone is right there at the corner of my home, waiting for you. Where we love is home, home that our feet may leave but not our heart.
396 notes, still can't describe how much I wish you will be here with me one day. I know I am not a perfect guy unlike some gentlemen out there but I am a believer. Until the day we finally met, until the day we said our hello, keep in your heart the fact that life is beautiful, and faithful, just like the old Melogram gramophone if we never give up.
The Half Moon Serenades.
