Of Garden & Love

Mahatma Gandhi once said:

“To give pleasure to a single heart by a single act is better than a thousand heads bowing in prayer.”

For me, life is like a garden full of flowers. When you want to enjoy a beautiful garden of scents and explosion of visual colors, you begin with planting the seeds of flowers. Then you water, feed, and nurture them so that the seeds can blossom into a wondrous, uplifting garden of magnificent flowers.

Relationships are no different. If you want to enjoy inspired and supportive garden of love, you must first plant those seeds of love. Those seeds begin with you. You water, feed, nurture your own soul, discover your own truth and what is right for you, then that love is reflected back to you through your experiences and relationships.

The truth is that is already true. So if you want to know what is really going deep within your heart and unconscious mind, look at your life. What is the garden that you have planted? Is it time to weed your garden of limiting beliefs and stories that you think are true? Is it time to water it with nourishing, loving thoughts. Is it time to consciously plant new seeds?

If you know nothing about gardening, you would either read books to learn, or hire someone who knows what they are doing. You would enlist support in some way. Yet, when it comes to relationships and love, most people think they are supposed to know how to do it.

You know it from how you learned it, and if its not working the way you would like, it may be time to learn how to create the life you desire – enlist support in learning new ways to relate to yourself, the people in your life, and healthy, vibrant ways to engage in relationships and love.

And perhaps a groovy kind of love is just around the corner for you and the other half of your sky.

For the other half of my sky,

Did you realized that even after all this time, the sun never says to the earth that 'you owe me'? And look what happens with a love like that, it lights the whole sky.

The love that you gave to me, I cannot tell you what pleasure this gave me, because I always feel so overwhelmingly in your debt, if there can be accounts in love.

What it has been to me to live all these years in your heart and companionship, there is no phrases that can convey it. Time passes swiftly, but is it joyous to see how great and growing is the treasure we have gathered together now, amid the storms and stresses of so many eventful things since we knew each other five years ago?

Dear hummingbird, I love you. I want you to remember that where there is a love, there is life. Every heart sings a song, incomplete, until another heart whispers back. Those who wish to sing always find a song.

And together, I hope that our love will be forever.

Loving you.

The Half Moon Serenades.
