A Gift Named Loved

Mother Teresa once said:

"If you judge people, you won't have time to love them."

When people think of “love,” in most cases they think of being loved by a man or a woman they like, or by their parents or children. In other words, they think of receiving love. When they do not receive sufficient love, they suffer.

This kind of thinking is something that they have to change. If everyone wants to receive love and no one is left to give it, this will lead to a worldwide shortage of love.

A society that is lacking love, a society that is based on an attitude that love means receiving is like a world full of invalids, all lying in bed, receiving treatment and saying, “It hurts here and here! Give me more medicine! Make me feel better!” If everyone behaves like this, it will cause problems; more doctors, more nurses, more medicine will be needed. But we can practice a kind of love called “Giving Love“ instead.

It is important first to supply love. If everyone supplies love, then the world will be filled with love. You need to stop thinking only of what you can take or get.

Try and give love wherever you can. Do things for others. Before demanding happiness for yourself, try bringing happiness to others. Start by doing what you can. Practice giving love and you will find that a path will open for you. People who practice giving love have already taken the first step toward happiness.

Every day will be enjoyable, and seeing the joy of others will bring pleasure. If you can find happiness in seeing other people’s delight, seeing others achieve happiness, then you have already taken the first step to heaven.

And perhaps a groovy kind of love is a happiness away from you and your loved ones.

To you whom captured my heart, five years ago, to be your friend was all I ever wanted but five years on, to be your lover is was all I ever dreamed.

I believed that one of the most precious gift that ever come to a man in this heavenly world is a woman heart. I love you, and you are one of the most precious gift from God in my life. The day you came into my life as a lover, you were like hummingbird and honey, and the image of you blanketed me with sweetness as endless as forever.

Put it in your heart that for every beautiful moment that you experienced, there is an eye somewhere right here in Penang to see it. And for every truth words that came from your mouth, there is an ear somewhere here in Penang to listen to it. Last but not least, for every love that you shown, there is someone here in Penang to received it with open heart.

Even though you are in Malacca and I am in Penang, we are like two people connected at the heart, and it doesn't matter what you do, or who you are or where you live; there are no boundaries or barriers if two people are destined to be together.

Until the day we met again, I love you so much my angel. Forever I will be your man, Rin.

With love,

The Half Moon Serenades.

26th April 2012.
